Day 9: Last Day in Bauru
We started off the day with another fabulous breakfast made by Mom and Dad followed by me looking through a big box of baby Aaron pictures (aww!). Then Dad drove us to find this cool Japanese church nearby. It took a while for us to find it, but it was worth it!
After that we went to Walmart to buy havaianas. Unfortunately, they didn't have a great selection, so we had to go to another store to look for more. They had what we were looking for, just a little more expensive-but we got them anyways. After that, hungry again, we went to Copacabana bakery for lunch. My little sandwich wasn't filling enough (And also since it was our last day in Bauru) I suggested we go for ice cream at Penguim. My suggestion was met with no resistance, so we headed out. After dessert we went home. I helped Dad set up a blog while Aaron napped and Mom read Harry Potter. Then, mom took me to get a pedicure. Check it out-only 10R which is only $5!!!
We were so greatful for everything Mom and Dad had done for us so we insisted on taking them out to dinner. They chose one of their favorite places- Baby Buffalo.
After dinner we went home to begin our packing extravaganza. It was difficult trying to get all our things into 2 bag and 2 carry-ons, but we did it. We only had to leave behind a few things-dress shoes, some packages of pão do queijo, and a few presents we'd received at the churrasco. Tired from the packing we finally made it to bed around 11.
