Trolley Tales

Since I no longer have a car :( I have been riding the trolley. Ernie has been generous enough to drop me off at the station at 6:15am each morning on his way to work, and then pick my up in the afternoon. It really is so awesome that there is a station 1 block from my work-I don't know what I would do otherwise. Taking the trolley is really easy and convenient-only takes about 25 minutes each way AND there is a Starbucks right where I get on (this is a good and a bad thing!). Here are some exciting stories of my rides so far:

Day 1 - too tired (first day waking up at 5:30am), nothing really to report

Day 2 - on my afternoon ride a man got on board with 4 4foot tall black trash bags filled with recyclables and proceeded to ride on the trolley with them. Needless to say, it wasn't a pleasant smell.

Day 3 - on my morning ride a mom and her 3 daughters were sitting in front of me eating pungent smelling chips, soda, and m n m's (at 6:30 in the morning!!!). Then one of them started coughing-ick. A deep throated cough too! Then another followed, then another, until all of the kids INCLUDING the mom-started hacking these nasty sounding-germ spreading coughs. I could not get off the trolley fast enough!

more to rides, and more tales to come...
