4th of July

Ernie and I flew home to the Bay Area for 4th of July. We were able to hang out with Katey and Nate, which is always a blast! Here we are posing for a picture while Ernie attempts to steal our thunder.
Another one sans Ernie.
Hanging out was a blast. Both Bethany and Bekah had friends visiting, so it was quite the full house sharing 1 bathroom! I don't think we ever stopped laughing :) On the 4th we all got together and walked to the Danville parade.
It was quite the walk. I think once we got home it ended up being about 5 or 6 miles. So towards the end we started getting a little kooky. Here we are striking a pose.
Me and Ernie :)
Here's some of the highlights from the parade: A Kung Fu group
Some funny group of people dressed in all red and purple
Later that day the Grammies (Gracie and Rozie) came over for a BBQ. We ate and played ping pong while looking at the beautiful new pool (my parents redid the pool and the backyard) which we weren't allowed to go in because it wasn't ready for swimmers. That night we bundled up and headed to San Ramon Central Park to stake our claim on a spot of grass and wait for the fireworks show. The boys played some football and some of us played cards while we waited for it to get dark. Then we took a few pictures: Mom and Pop
Look who it is! Rachel and Ernie again!
Bethany and Kiki being silly.
It was a really fun trip and nice to get out of town for a few days. Is it time for vacation again yet?

Looks like you had lots of family fun! Do you remember that year when I brought my mom to the Fourth of July celebration on La Jolla Shores? Haha. I miss you!
