Inspired by my many friends with green thumbs (Jia, Annie, Sage), I have decided to take a crack a gardening. I have tried before (notice the two empty pots on the left-one vacated by a flowering plant that met its doom recently, and the other a killed cactus--who kills a cactus?? ME!) Anyways, I'm hoping this attempt will prove more successful. I bought a fun ready-to-go planter complete with seeds to plant basil, dill, parsley and thyme. I also got some soil that should work for the big pot as soon as I get something to plant.

Yay for your baby herbs! I actually tried to plant basil and it just wasn't working - my mom told me I was probably over watering. You're lucky you live in a milder climate, so your plants will probably survive a long time! Good luck!
