Christmas in Alamo: Day 6

Day after Christmas:

The gals decided to take a nice early morning walk. While we waited, Jess, JT, Ernie and I played outside with midnite. We started out playing football, then found more balls around the yard so we played soccer etc too. Then we made up a game where each person had a different ball and we bet on which one midnite would chase, then we'd throw it and see who won. Of course she mostly picked jess and jt, but i think she's a little biased towards mommy and daddy. Then we invented another game, basically it was baseball but we played with a football. (fun-noodle softball anyone??? you know how much i love to invent new games!) So we had some fun with that until ernie almost hit the ball over the fence. luckily the big tree stopped the ball and it stayed on our side. Then finally bethany, bekah and mom were ready and we went on our walk.Jess ran into some old friends at Pete's, which was fun for her.

Then we got home and had a nice, relaxing, no-plans day. We watched some of the Office, which JT had on his ipod. Later we had plans to go to a movie, so all the kids piled into the Pilot. We made a quick detour to in-n-out because the boys were craving. (did i mention before that there was a CRAZY rain storm this day?) the day started off so nice, and then all of a sudden it was a bad storm. so i definitely didn't enjoy driving in that storm, and there is crazy construction on all of the freeways and the on and off ramps are really short.

anyhoo, we made it safely to the theaters at hacienda. We had decided to see Night at the museum. we had to wait in line, but it was perfect, because then there was a shorter wait once we actually got our seats. There were some awesome previews: spider man 3, Final 4 sequel, ocean's 13, transformers, simpsons. and then it was time for the movie! we really really enjoyed the movie, especially since a museum coming to life would be a dream come true for me. and it reminded me of one of my favorite books, The Mixed up Files of Mrs. basil E. Frankenweiler.

After the movie we returned home for snacks and bethany and bekah were able to get The Devil Wears Prada, so we watched that with everyone. it was a really good movie, I think Rad enjoyed it the most :)

All in all it was another fantastic day at the weisser house!
